About Justin
Justin has an impressive journalistic pedigree having been a reporter for 16 years, with the majority on national titles including The Press Association and The Sun, before spending 11 years at The Sunday Mirror, with a decade as the crime correspondent. He has been in legal PR for nine years with four working in-house at Slater & Gordon on some of the biggest cases in the UK, including the Jimmy Savile abuse scandal, VW emission scandal and the campaign to keep black cab rapist John Worboys in jail.
He is an expert in generating media coverage for law firms, helping S&G achieve record media mentions in his role as deputy head of communications. Justin then ran the PR and media function for Hodge Jones & Allen, helping the firm achieve unsurpassed coverage before joining Black Letter in November 2019.
Justin is a specialist in litigation PR, helping clients through the difficult process, is skilled at reputation management and is well versed in crisis communications. In his time at Black Letter he has advised high profile individuals and organisations facing litigation or crisis issues. He is adept at broadcast training, having helped hone the skills of dozens of lawyers so they are ready for television and radio. Justin has helped Black Letter clients achieve record coverage, helping them grow their brand and drive new business.
He is also an author, having had the true crime book Killing Time published by Pan MacMillan.
