Reflective Practice Supervisor and Founder, Training and Supervision Academy. Family Solicitor.
Sharon Sloam is a Reflective Practice Supervisor who offers lawyers a safe, confidential space to talk through whatever is on their mind. She holds the Reflective Practice Supervision qualification and is a member of the Association of Family Law Supervisors. She supervises solicitors and barristers at every stage of their careers and welcomes supervisees from any area of legal practice. Sessions are led by what the supervisee brings. That can be: a demanding case, a workplace dynamic, a career decision, a personal matter impacting performance at work, or simply the need to pause and reflect. Her approach is warm and supportive, combined with honest reflection and gentle challenge where helpful.
Sharon brings 13 years’ experience as a solicitor practising private family law in Central London. She was recognised as a Key Lawyer by The Legal 500, and clients often commented on her empathy; a quality which she now brings to her role as a supervisor. Having carried a demanding caseload, while raising a young family, she understands the reality of a career in law. In 2026 she founded the Training & Supervision Academy, so that she can now provide lawyers with the support that she feels she would have benefitted from. She offers supervision online and in person (if in London).
A supervisee recently commented:
“Sharon has been an amazing support. When I am having a particularly difficult period one of my tools for navigating whatever is troubling me is arranging a session with Sharon, which I think is testament to how trusted and helpful her supervision is. The sessions make a real difference and Sharon is hugely empathetic, easy to talk to and adept at providing meaningful guidance.”
Sharon also delivers CPD-accredited family law training to professionals and charity teams supporting people through separation and domestic abuse.
