Switchboard Celebrates LGBTQIA+ History Month

February is LGBTQIA+ History Month, at a time when LGBTQIA+ rights are under debate and identities face scrutiny, it’s more important than ever to celebrate and support your LGBTQIA+ colleagues and foster a culture of education and inclusion. Switchboard – National LGBTQ+ Support Line’s LGBTQIA+ History Talks are a powerful way to mark the month. These sessions— offered online or in person— explore 50 years of LGBTQIA+ history, including the decriminalisation of homosexuality, the HIV/AIDS crisis, Section 28, marriage equality and more.

They’ll also share how Switchboard’s volunteers were there and continue to be there to support the LGBTQIA+ community across the UK.

By hosting a Switchboard History Talk, your organisation can:

☑️ Celebrate LGBTQIA+ History Month in a meaningful way

☑️ Educate and inspire your teams with stories of progress and resilience

☑️ Show your commitment to inclusion and diversity
