As we approach World Mental Health Day on 10th October, Chronicle Law is focusing on mental health in the legal profession. We’ll be sharing articles on key mental health topics, highlighting issues that impact both legal professionals and the broader community. LawCare is the mental health charity for the legal sector. LawCare’s free and confidential helpline provides emotional support and is open 9am to 5pm every weekday (except bank holidays). They also offer training, resources and research that promotes positive change in the culture and practices of legal workplaces.
Dr. Sykes has expertise in a diverse range of psychological approaches, including Leadership Psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Somatic Psychology. More recently, she draws upon interpersonal neurobiology to inform her practice. She has actively contributed to research, peer reviews, and media interviews, further solidifying her reputation as a thought leader in the field.
We are a team of psychotherapists with a background in the legal profession. We integrate our in-depth knowledge, skills and experience of the law with our expertise from psychotherapy and neuroscience to offer support to individuals and their organisations. We offer counselling for individuals as well as organisations.
