Every year, the demand for Will writing services surges during Will Aid, and this year is expected to be no different. With people already making enquiries and booking appointments for Will Aid 2024 in November, there’s no time to lose.
For law firms, it’s a golden opportunity to attract new clients, grow your reputation, and make a difference by supporting some of the UK’s most-loved charities. If your firm hasn’t yet signed up, now is the perfect moment to do so. Don’t miss out on what could be one of the most rewarding months of your year.
A record-breaking year in 2023
Last year’s Will Aid campaign was a standout success. With the support of brilliant firms around the country, we raised more than £770,000 in life-changing donations, marking a £40,000 increase against 2022.
Donations raised during Will Aid support seven of the UK’s most loved charities, supporting their incredible work here in in the UK, and around the world. While 2023 was a fantastic year, we’re hoping that 2024 will be even bigger – but to do this we need more firms onboard.
How does Will Aid work?
It’s really simple. As a participating firm, you write Wills for clients as you usually would, but instead of charging your standard fee, you waive your fee and invite the client to make an upfront donation to Will Aid. These donations – a suggested £100 for a single basic Will and £180 for a pair of mirror Wills – are split between seven incredible charities.
Signing up couldn’t be easier, simply go to the website and register your interest or call the Will Aid team on 0300 0300 013 and they’ll be happy to answer any questions.
Once a firm is on the list of participating firms, potential clients will start contacting you via the Will Aid website, and the Will Aid PR team will begin generating publicity for the firm. Solicitors can also choose to sign up to the ‘Remote list,’ which opens their firm up to clients nationwide.
Why join Will Aid?
There are countless benefits to participating in Will Aid, both for your firm and your community.
Firstly, it’s a fantastic way to grow your client base. On average, participating firms report gaining around 20 new clients during the campaign. Many clients return for other legal matters or recommend services to family and friends, creating a ripple effect of new business.
Will Aid also offers your team a unique opportunity to develop professionally. Newly qualified and trainee solicitors can use the campaign to hone their skills and gain valuable experience. Plus, it’s a fantastic morale booster, allowing your firm to actively give back to the community while reinforcing your professional reputation.
